Happy Fourth of July!!

Happy Fourth of July !!

The Star-Spangled Banner

O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Yes, even here in Kenya we celebrate Fourth of July. :-) We usually have a get together with some of the missionaries, and do everything ,but the fireworks. Fireworks have been outlawed here.....isn't that sad?
Today there was ,probably, around thirty five people there, and we had a great time! After lunch we had a big, volley ball game, and I'll have you know, it was probably the most interesting and exciting  game ever.:-) You see, we thought it an accomplishment when we, in succession, got the ball over the net and back three times.  We managed, getting the ball almost stuck in the tree, getting it through the electric fence, over by where the cars were parked, and just had a great time! :-)There you have it, a picture,of what our Fourth of July celebration was like.

I know that america is heading farther and farther away from the Lord, but I am still thankful for America. I am thankful that we can still worship God freely in America. I often take this for granted, but know I shouldn't, for there are many countries that don't have this freedom.

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of a  religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."  - From the first amendment of the constitution.

Enjoy the pics and have a great day!
