This past week I was able to go to Ethiopia, with a group from my home church in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I am already praying for a chance to go back. I fell in love with Ethiopia, the people, and the way of life there. The Ethiopians are great people, and I enjoyed my time with them very much. I am thankful, God gave me this opportunity to go on this trip, and I hope, through it, we were a help to the missionaries there.
We went to help a missionary family, named the Hoovers. I enjoyed my time with them, and I am glad we were able to stay with them.:-) We helped in a lot of children's ministries, in different places. A couple of the days, we ministered to the kids, in a large orphanage (in Addis Ababa). This orphanage had about one thousand kids living there, and I enjoyed getting to see around the orphanage. The other days we worked with various other groups of kids. While helping in the children's ministries, we got a pretty good tour, of the beautiful country of Ethiopia. We got to visit the museum, different parts of Ethiopian country side, and Antoto mountain. (I probably didn't spell the name of the mountain right, sorry:-) TREE!
Another thing I can't forget to mention about Ethiopia is, Coffee. :-) If you are a coffee drinker, Ethiopia is the place to be.:-) Coffee is not my favourite drink, and to tell you the truth, before I went on this trip I hadn't had any coffee for years, but you just can't get by staying in Ethiopia without drinking coffee. Drink it I did; I even counted how many cups I had - 7. Coffee did grow on me, and now that I am back in Kenya I want a cup of Ethiopian coffee.:-) TREE!
I could say lots more about my trip, but I'll leave it at this for now. Enjoy the many pictures I put up.
